Privacy Policy

Tawzan is currently operated by the founder personally under the “Tawzan” name (not through a confirmed LLC or corporation). References to “Tawzan,” “we,” “us,” or “our” mean the operator of the Services.

BUSINESS INPUT REQUIRED: a public legal mailing address is not published here. We do not publish a residential/home address. Contact us by email (below) for privacy requests.

• Account information — such as email address and name or preferred name you provide.
• Authentication information — handled through our authentication provider (Supabase Auth), including sign-in sessions and password-reset flows.
• Dictation / audio — audio you submit for transcription or related processing when you use dictation features.
• Transcripts and generated content — text produced from dictation, rewrite, cleanup, or similar tools, which may be stored in your account history where the product saves it.
• Prompt Engineer, Playground, and Voice to Code — inputs and outputs you submit when you use those features.
• ApplyFlow information — optional profile fields (for example contact and work history) and resume filename metadata you save for autofill assistance. Resume file bytes are intended to remain local to your device where the product is configured that way.
• Subscription / billing status — plan tier, trial status, and billing customer references needed to provide paid features (payments are processed by our payment provider).
• Usage information — such as feature usage counters or demo-session usage needed to enforce plan limits.
• Device / browser information — technical data typically involved in running a web or desktop app (for example session cookies, theme preference, or client capability checks).
• Optional analytics — only if you opt in (see Analytics below).
• On-device Smart Dictation data — speaker-matching embeddings or related local data may be stored in your browser (for example IndexedDB), not as raw audio files in Tawzan server storage.
• Extension settings — preferences and optional ApplyFlow profile data saved on your device in the extension. We do not store account passwords in the extension.

We use the information above to provide features you request (dictation, writing tools, Playground, ApplyFlow, Desktop, extensions), to authenticate you, to manage subscriptions and trials, to secure and operate the Services, and — only if you opt in — to understand product usage via analytics.

We do not sell personal data for advertising. We do not show ads on the website or extension.

Tawzan uses or may use Google Analytics and Plausible for product usage measurement.

Where the website consent system applies, optional analytics scripts load only after you opt in (for example via the cookie banner or Cookie preferences). Choosing Essential only keeps those analytics scripts from loading. You can change your preference later on the Cookies page.

When enabled, analytics may collect technical and usage information according to each provider’s functionality (for example page views or product events). We do not claim that this measurement is anonymous.

Information you submit to AI, transcription, or related features may be processed by service providers required to deliver those features (for example authentication, hosting, payment processing, and AI / transcription APIs). Providers receive what is needed to perform the requested operation.

Essential cookies and local storage support sign-in, demo sessions, security, consent preference, and required app functionality. Optional analytics cookies/scripts are consent-gated as described above. See Cookies & similar technologies.

The Chrome extension may access page content when you use dictation or ApplyFlow on a page, may write to the clipboard when insertion is blocked, and stores settings locally. Details of permissions and data flows are summarized for Chrome Web Store readiness in our extension privacy review (engineering doc). Limited Use statement:

Tawzan’s use of information received from Chrome APIs and user-provided content will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

When you request account deletion, we generally aim to delete or de-identify account-associated data within 30 days, unless a longer period is reasonably necessary for billing records, fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution, legal obligations, or other legitimate operational requirements.

We do not promise instantaneous deletion from all third-party backups or provider systems. Backups and provider copies may persist until normal rotation or provider processes complete.

To request deletion (or access / export), use Profile → Privacy & data, or email support@tawzan.com from the email on your account.

Tawzan is offered worldwide. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or export of personal information we hold about you, subject to applicable law and verification.

This policy does not claim that Tawzan is “GDPR compliant,” “CCPA compliant,” or certified under any particular privacy framework. Contact support@tawzan.com to make a request.

Tawzan is not intended for children under 13.

Users between 13 and the age at which they can legally consent to online services in their jurisdiction may need parent or guardian authorization. Tawzan may restrict use where local law requires a higher age. The service is not intentionally designed to collect children’s data.

We do not operate an automated parental-consent platform. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact support.

• We do not sell your personal data for advertising.
• We do not show ads on the extension or website.
• We do not load optional Google Analytics / Plausible scripts unless you opt in where consent applies.
• We do not collect unrelated browsing history to build advertising profiles.
• We do not auto-submit job applications — ApplyFlow fills fields only after you choose to fill; you review and submit yourself.
• We do not bypass CAPTCHAs.
