Privacy Policy

This policy describes what Tawzan collects, how we use it, and what we do not do — for tawzan.com and the Tawzan Chrome extension.

What Tawzan handles

  • Text you choose to process — audio dictation, rewritten text, and prompt optimization sent to Tawzan when you start dictation or use writing tools.
  • Optional ApplyFlow profile data — job application fields and resume metadata you save in Tawzan and may sync to the extension for autofill assistance.
  • Account information — email and subscription status when you create an account (handled by our auth and billing providers).
  • Extension settings — tone, mode, API environment preference, floating-button setting, and mic position stored locally in your browser via chrome.storage.local.
  • Basic account hints — non-sensitive flags (for example, whether a recent API call suggested sign-in or Pro upgrade) stored locally in the extension; no passwords are stored in the extension.

How we use data

We use the information above only to provide features you explicitly request: dictation, rewrite, prompt optimization, model comparison on the dashboard, and ApplyFlow autofill when you trigger it.

We may show connection or upgrade prompts when the Tawzan API returns authorization responses (for example, when a signed-in Free user needs Pro). We do not use your data for advertising or unrelated profiling.

Chrome extension data use

The Tawzan Chrome extension connects to tawzan.com APIs when you use dictation or ApplyFlow. It requests Chrome permissions only as needed:

  • Storage — save settings and optional profile cache locally.
  • Commands — keyboard shortcut to toggle dictation (Ctrl+Shift+Y / ⌘⇧Y on Mac).
  • Clipboard write — copy transcription when a page blocks direct insertion.
  • Host access — run the content script on pages where you use Tawzan; the floating mic button is off by default and must be enabled in extension settings.

The extension does not store server API keys (OpenAI, Groq, Stripe, Supabase service keys, or similar) on your device.

What Tawzan does not collect or do

  • We do not sell your personal data.
  • We do not show ads or run ad tracking through the extension or website.
  • We do not collect unrelated browsing history.
  • We do not auto-submit job applications or other forms — ApplyFlow fills fields only after you click Fill application; you must review every field and submit yourself.
  • We do not bypass CAPTCHAs.

Limited Use (Chrome Web Store)

Tawzan’s use of information received from Chrome APIs and user-provided content will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
