Essential

Required for authentication/session, security, consent preference, demo sessions, and required application functionality. These are not disabled by declining analytics.

• Supabase auth session cookies — keep you signed in.
• tawzan_demo_session (HttpOnly) — validates an anonymous demo session on the server.
• tawzan_demo_started — UX flag that demo was started.
• tawzan-cookie-consent:v1 (localStorage) — stores your analytics preference (consent record).

Preferences (first-party)

• tawzan-theme — light/dark theme.
• ApplyFlow drafts, Playground drafts, and dictation calibration keys in localStorage or IndexedDB — stay on your device unless you sync/save via signed-in features.
• Smart Dictation voice embeddings may be stored in browser IndexedDB for speaker matching (not raw audio files in Tawzan app storage).

Analytics — optional

Google Analytics and Plausible load only after you choose Accept analytics / Allow analytics. Choosing Essential only keeps these scripts from loading. Plausible is initialized on production builds when consent is granted; Google Analytics (gtag measurement ID in the web app) is consent-gated the same way.

• Google Analytics — optional usage measurement (client-side, consent-gated).
• Plausible — optional product analytics (production builds, consent-gated).

We do not claim analytics measurement is anonymous. Providers may collect technical/usage information according to their functionality.

Advertising

The codebase does not initialize a Meta/Facebook pixel, Hotjar, or similar ad-retargeting SDKs. Google Analytics, when enabled by consent, involves Google as a measurement provider — treat it as optional analytics, not “no third-party measurement.”
